Project information

This project supports our growing community by developing infrastructure and new amenities (a community hub, digital and e-Gaming hub, community garden and kitchen, dog park, playground for families) to provide greater lifestyle choices and encourage healthy lifestyles.

Cost and duration

Estimated $6 million over 3 years.

Council is seeking funding partnership between the Federal and the Northern Territory Government.

Current status

Marlow Lagoon Dog Park Improvements

Council is preparing concept plans for community consultation with a view to allocating funds within the 2020/21 budget. Consultation is anticipated during April/May 2020

Play Equipment Upgrade

In conjunction with children from the Moulden Park Primary School, Council has prepared a concept plan and is due to invite tenders for the replacement of the playground at Tiverton Park with a view to developing a play space that integrates the existing play equipment with the basketball half-court. The park equipment is anticipated to be replaced during July 2020.

Together with the tender for Tiverton park, the Council is to invite tenders for the replacement of the play equipment at Phyllis Uren Park that will coincide with the construction of a shade structure to the play equipment area. The equipment and shade sail are due for installation during July 2020.
